Our center strives to provide Early Intervention and Academic and Practical Life Skills Support throughout the different stages of development and across all developmental domains. Our center strives to provide accountable early therapeutic intervention to young autistic children. By providing early specialised intervention across all the main developmental domains, we aim to give our children the best possible foundation for learning and growth to reach their individual potential.
We do admissions throughout the year depending on availability of places in specific class groups.
To apply for admission an Intake Assessment is required. This assessment is performed by our Occupational Therapist & Speech & Language Therapist to determine the child’s current level of functioning and which class group would be most suitable to meet the needs of the child. This assessment also identifies intervention goals and recommendations.
For further enquiries regarding the application procedure please get in touch with our Occupational Therapist, Charene Aucamp at:
Blaze@The Sanctuary is set on a beautiful small holding in a quiet, serene environment. Our two main buildings are surrounded by stunning gardens and birdlife. The first building hosts our Early Intervention and Preschool class groups while the second larger building hosts our high support class groups including Practical Life Skills, Foundation Phase, and Intermediate Phase classes. Our classrooms are spacious and have access to nearby or on-suite bathrooms We have 6 large outdoor play areas including our shaded Forest area – a delightful serene area. The small holding has two vegetable tunnels where our learners plant their own vegetables and enjoy nature. There are plenty of fig, peach, and pomegranate trees as well as grape vineyards. We currently have a chicken coup with 7 Brahma chickens where our learners collect eggs daily. Many learners love to sit and watch the white pigeons in the pigeon coup beside the forest area.
